How we handle your data
Curated Peaks is a small editorial publication based in the United Kingdom. We collect only what we need, and we explain below exactly what that is and why.
Last updated: 11 June 2026
Newsletter and packing list
If you subscribe to our newsletter, or sign up to receive our family ski packing list, we collect your email address. Both are managed through Mailchimp, which stores the data on our behalf. We keep your email for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, Mailchimp marks you as unsubscribed and we no longer email you. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the foot of any email we send. We do not share your email with third parties, and we do not use it for anything beyond the emails you signed up for.
Inquiry forms
Inquiries submitted through our forms are stored by Netlify and forwarded to us by email. We keep them for as long as is reasonable to respond to your request and follow up afterwards.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, for example which guides are read most, so we can make Curated Peaks better. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes some technical information such as your approximate location and the pages you view.
These analytics cookies do not load unless you accept them. When you first visit, a banner asks whether you are happy for us to use them. Nothing analytics-related runs until you choose Accept, and if you choose Reject, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings button at the bottom of any page.
We have set Google Analytics to anonymise IP addresses. We do not use analytics data for advertising.
Fonts and third-party content
The fonts used on this site are served from our own domain, not from a third-party font service. This means loading a page does not pass your details to an outside provider just to display text.
Affiliate links
Some links on Curated Peaks are affiliate links. If you click through and make a booking, we may receive a small commission at no cost to you. This never affects the recommendations we make.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. To exercise any of these, or to ask anything about how we handle your data, write to hello@curatedpeaks.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you are unhappy with how we have handled your data.
